PRE RACE :: DAY 1 :: DAY 2 :: DAY 3 :: DAY 4 :: DAY 5 :: DAY 6 :: DAY 7

Below is Ken Block's blog from Day 6 at the WRC Mexico in Leon.
Saturday was Day 2 of the rally and also consisted of approx 90 stage miles over 8 stages.

Here’s how the car started the day...

Here’s how it finished. Ever have one of those weekends where it could be the best thing ever, yet everything goes horribly wrong???

Let’s list the things that went wrong today; flat tire, bent control arm, caught someone 1/2 way thru a stage and was dusted out...thus stopped on the stage to let them get ahead...then caught them again, lost the front bumper on the Super Special, then ran out of wiper fluid and couldn't see the course very well (because of the water/mud splashes) and overshot a slippery corner into a tire barrier! Just one of those days...

I had the bright idea of changing my diff map to one that had more oversteer for a stage with a lot of tighter turns.   It didn't work out too well for me...the oversteer was just too much for the surface and I hit a bank.   This was the result...a bent control arm and a flat.

Here’s Alex checking us into our first service of the event.

Chris Atkinson getting air at the Super Special. The track was really fun and there was a ton of spectators.

Travis and Christian getting ready for their turn at the Super Special.

Travis getting air on the big jump.

Media magnet, Travis Pastrana.

16th overall, and 5th in PWRC. Travis is driving exceptionally well for his first WRC race! This is a great result for a guy that just started rallying 3 years ago.
